浙江省平湖中学迎来80华诞，周年庆典于10月6日举行。
八十年风雨砥砺，八十年薪火相传；八十年春华秋实，八十年勇猛精进。今日的平中，高朋满座，群贤毕至，来自全国各地的历届平中校友、四海宾朋齐聚平中。未能到来的远方朋友则通过视频送来祝福，其中就包括美国圣玛丽中学校长Frank Phillips。
Frank在视频中，祝贺平湖中学建校80周年，希望平湖中学能取得更多的成功，也希望平湖中学与圣玛丽中学两所学校的友谊地久天长。
2012年，平湖中学与圣玛丽中学合作创办的平湖中学圣玛丽国际部正式获得浙江省教育厅批准，并于2013年招生。办学至今，国际部一直不断追求完善，立足于融合中国的优秀教育元素和西方先进的教学模式，探索适合中国学生学习的有效方式，努力打造一所“家门口的国际学校”。

Hello to my friends in Pinghu. This is Frank Phillips, president of St Mary’s School and your old friend here in the United States. Just offering my congratulations to you and Pinghu High School for your eightieth anniversary. That is a really phenomenal number and we are very proud to be celebrating that with you of you are providing great education to students in Zhejiang Province. Also very please be doing the golden week and Guo Qing Day.
We are just so happy to be associated with your school. Our teachers have been so welcomed at Pinghu over the years. Mr and Mrs. Riddle particular, who started the program and taught in Pinghu and at St Mary’s for many years. Also send their fond wishes it has been our pleasure to host students from Pinghu to have delegations of the principle and teacher from Pinghu come to visit us in Oregon and for us to come to your lovely city and enjoy your hospitality of the years.
I hope for many many more successful years not only for you and Pinghu High School but for our relationship with St Mary’s too. So again my congratulations to you and your eightieth anniversary. We are very proud of you here and we hope for many many more good years to come. Thank you.

在校友祝福环节，平湖市人民政府副市长方晓烈先生将镌刻平中校训“勇猛精进”的印章捐赠给母校。中国商飞设计研发中心主任，上海飞机设计研究院院长，C919项目系统集成试验现场指挥部常务副指挥，曾获得中国航天科技集团”航天奖”、中国运载火箭技术研究院“长征奖”荣誉称号的沈波校友将C919飞机模型捐赠给母校。
